Thursday night: it’s not quite the weekend, but it’s close enough so it basically counts. You’re probably looking for something to do, besides your usual Netflix binge, but you have no idea what’s going on. Never fear, because Phantoms is playing the 9:30 Club with Viceroy and WRGW fave, Will Eastman.

Kyle and Vinnie make up Phantoms, an electronic duo with a knack for making dance tunes with a dark and brooding twist, which is apparent on all of their work, be it a remix or an original song. If you’re a fan of artists such as Disclosure, Hot Chip, or Com Truise, then this is where you want to be. When I first heard that one of my favorite DC venues, U Street Music Hall, was putting on a daylong music and food festival, I couldn’t have been happier. It boasted an impressive lineup of artists of both local and international renown and I began counting down the days to the day of the concert. Although there are many festivals around the country this summer, this one easily had one of the most interesting lineups. From UK producer Jamie xx to psychedelic poppers Animal Collective to the entire Moombahton Massive crew, there was something for everyone who was ready to get down.
