Bad Bad Hats @DC9, 8/5

BY CLAIRE LANTHIER//

Next Friday, August 5th, Minneapolis-based indie-rock band Bad Bad Hats will take the stage at DC9 with openers Gully Boys and Pretty Bitter. I first saw the band when they opened for the Front Bottoms during my Junior year of high school, and their lighthearted sound coupled with their magnetic stage presence earned them the name of “Best opener EVER” to me and my friends back in 2017. To say I’m excited for their headlined show next weekend would be an understatement, especially since we get to hear the band play the tracks off of their newest album, Walkman, which received high praise from critics and is, in my opinion, their best yet. If you’re in the area, tickets to the show at DC9 can be found here, with doors at 7 and music starting at 7:30. If you’re elsewhere this Summer, the rest of their tour can be found here, with more shows around the Northeast and Midwest happening the rest of August.
