Finneas had 8 Grammy wins under his belt (out of his 9 nominations) before he even released his debut album. How?

Finneas O’Connell is tearing through the music industry with his talents in production and performance. Brother of Billie Eilish, Finneas produced and wrote music for others before he started putting out his own. He recorded and produced for his sister in the bedroom of his childhood home, where Billie still lives. His work on Billie’s two album’s landed him awards in some of the biggest categories at the Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Producer of the Year, and more. The 24-year-old is taking the industry by storm with his signature interesting chord combinations and innovative sound engineering.

Before his album release earlier in 2021, he had a few singles that garnered attention of listeners. “Let’s Fall in Love For The Night”, “Angel”, and “Break My Heart Again” showcased his talents earlier on in his career. Now, with his debut album Optimist out, he sings of love, heartbreak, grief, and the difficulties of growing up in modern day society with social media. He relates to his audience lyrically, while pulling them in the rest of the way with his production and vocals. From the artist himself, he cannot wait to perform the track “The Kids Are All Dying” live for an audience.
