The upbeat electric rock group that was formerly known as The Jakes was formed in Irvine, California in 2004. In 2009 the band performed four shows at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas and quickly caught fire. In 2010 they changed the name of the group to the beloved Young The Giant and signed with Roadrunner Records. The band soon after released their hit single “My Body” which blew up the charts and eventually went platinum in the USA.

From there the band gained vast notoriety that resulted in performing at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards and the release of their first self-named album, Young The Giant. Not long after in 2013 they signed with record label power house, Fueled By Ramen. The label is responsible for many famous bands such as, Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World, Twenty One Pilots, Paramore, and many more. This union produced their second full length album Mind over Matter

And thus brings us to their most recent, synth infused melodic project that is sure to leave listeners with all kinds of emotions. This album is a culmination of the smooth songs and rhythmic indie rock give Young the Giant their signature sound.

Cold War Kids and Joywave are just the cherry on top of what is sure to be an amazing show.

Cold War Kids hot off the July release of their EP, Los Feliz Blvd (2017) which is full of emotional vocals and rich piano that will only compliment Young The Giant’s sound.  The indie rock band from Long Beach, California is also coming off their 6th full length album L.A Divine.
