The Scottish indie band Chvrches (pronounced Churches) is completing their 2016 world tour at none other than D.C.’s own Echostage. Their lead singer Lauren Mayberry and bandmates Iain Cook and Martin Doherty have been creating unique indie-pop sounds since 2011 in Glasglow.
They’ve been touring their sophomore album Every Open Eye which was released in 2015 following The Bones of What You Believe in 2013, finding their way into all of our indie hearts with “The Mother We Share” and “Never Ending Circles.”
This past year Chvrches traveled through Europe, Asia, and the United States playing festivals like Bonnaroo, SXSW, Firefly, Reading, Leeds and many others. Chvrches definitely avoided their sophomore album slump by continuing with their catchy upbeat choruses and synth beats like no other. They will be at Echostage October 17, and October 18 to give an extremely promising performance filled with their amazing indietronica sound.
