This Thursday at the 9:30 Club, Angel Olsen will grace all of Washington with her thoughtful and powerful presence.
The Midwesterner turned-Asheville transplant just released one of the best new albums of the year, MY WOMAN. Following her instant classic, Burn Your Fire For No Witness, Olsen left fans wanting more and did not disappointed with the newest release. She keeps her introspection in MY WOMAN but her guitar rings with more blithe and the grungy electric chords are brighter.
Olsen’s D.C. stop is part of her extensive tour with synthpop musician Alex Cameron. This may be the semester’s not-to-be-missed show.
General admission tickets are still available on Ticketfly.
9:30 Club, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m., $20.
