From the Facebook event:

Miracles Of Modern Science are an unlikely rock band. Using just mandolin, violin, cello, standup bass & drums, they create explosive pop that upends notions of what these instruments can do. You might file under post-rock if their instruments weren’t decidedly pre-rock. The result is as daring as it is infectious. www.miraclesofmodernscience.bandcamp.com

Margot MacDonald, included in NPR’s Favorite Discoveries from the CMJ Music Festival, is a songwriter, vocalist and live looper who embodies a one-woman band. A long time guitarist & pianist, Margot’s instrumentation has expanded to include unconventional vocal accompaniments created live thru the use of a loop pedal. Haunting and powerful, Margot’s performances make you forget the technology she hones, as you lose yourself in layers of lush vocals and striking melodies. www.goo.gl/PevpC7

Us and Us Only of Baltimore MD have taken many shapes over the years, steadily releasing glorious orchestral rock since 2007. They’re influenced by Joan Didion, horror movies and comic books, and are decidedly… not folk. www.usonly.bandcamp.com
